St.Vincent Indianapolis is the first hospital in central Indiana to receive a Primary Stroke Center accreditation by The Joint Commission, which evaluates more tham 15,000 U.S. healthcare organizations. That means patients have access to specialized stroke care close to home. Doctors, nurses and other members of the stroke center team are trained to assess patients, treat them promptly and help them prevent a second stroke from occurring in the future.
