Ongoing Research at INI
The Indiana Neuroscience Institute at St.Vincent Hospital is committed to building a comprehensive research program, in collaboration with the St.Vincent Institutional Review Board, including both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research.
The Institute is able to develop protocols to conduct research in the multiple areas of the neurosciences, such as
- Stroke
- Epilepsy
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
- Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus
- Sleep Disorders
The Institute has participated in industry-sponsored trials with Abbott, Bayer, Berlex, Biogen Idec, Cervitech, Lundbeck and Taisho, as well as the National Institutes of Health and Duke University.
In addition, the Institute has worked collaboratively with other major institutions, such as the Cleveland Clinic and Eli Lilly and Company, on pharmaceutical advancements and improvement of spinal instrumentation.
The Indiana Neuroscience Institute is active in research to help develop the best medicines and devices for patients with neurological disorders. Our goal is to help advance the best practices in neurosciences and improve the outcomes of those patients with neurological conditions.
