Andrea R. Schwarte, PhD, HSPP

Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr. Schwarte is a graduate of the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD, earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1996. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, in 2004. She completed a one-year internship and two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN, and joined St.Vincent Hospital in 2006.

Dr. Schwarte enjoys the diversity of her generalist neuropsychology practice, while specializing in cognitive, behavioral and emotional problems related to:

• Oncology treatment
• Epilepsy
• Neurosurgery (hydrocephalus, cranial malformations)
• Prematurity
• Genetic conditions
• Autism spectrum disorders
• Toddler and preschooler development

Dr. Schwarte is an active researcher with the Children’s Oncology Group, and is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society and the American Psychological Association. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Aaron, and with her nieces and nephews who live in Iowa and Missouri. She also enjoys traveling, reading and being outdoors.
