Sister Kevin Jones, CSC
Who is "KEVIN"? That would be Sister Mary "Kevin" Jones, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Sister Kevin worked with Saint John’s Cancer Center from 1995 until her retirement in 2001. But, as Joe Sensing, Director of Cancer Services, says, "she was much more to the patients and families."
"She visited the chemotherapy and radiation units every day. She was often referred to as an angel by patients. She was recognized by name more than any other individual in our patient satisfaction surveys. She was always a quiet presence, always available for listening or praying or whatever the needs of the patient and family might be. She was a servant. She cared so much for patients and their families. Many would come back after therapy just to see her or to help them grieve for a lost loved one."
"Sister Kevin has a smile and a twinkle in her eye that draws you to her. She is a servant of God that loves her patients and they love her. You always feel comfortable with her. She is the kindest person I have ever known. "
