Oncology Annual Report: Endometrial Cancer
Although currently there is no non-invasive screening available for endometrial cancer, Stage 1 cases, as reflected by the AJCC Stage Chart, are the most commonly diagnosed. Surprisingly, very few Stage 4 cases are reported. The American Cancer Society recommends that all women should be informed about the risks and symptoms of endometrial cancer, and strongly encouraged to report any unexpected bleeding or spotting to their physicians.

Although the median age for endometrial patients is 50 to 60 years of age, annual screening for endometrial cancer with endometrial biopsy beginning at age 35 should be offered to women with or at risk for hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HCPCC).
