St.Vincent Indianapolis: Oncology Inpatient Unit

The St.Vincent Inpatient Unit has 44 beds to treat both oncology and hematology patients. (Four of the beds are devoted to autogolous bone marrow transplant patients.) All rooms are private and equipped with refrigerators, VCRs and DVDs, foldout chairs, and other amenities to make the patient's stay as comfortable as possible.

The interdisciplinary team consists of nurses, case managers, dieticians, social workers, pharmacists and pastoral counselors. The oncologists and hematologists who admit patients to the unit are on call 24 hours a day.

A 15-station outpatient unit is located next to the inpatient unit. Patients receiving blood transfusions, infusions and chemotherapy treatments are conveniently treated on an outpatient basis.

For more information about the inpatient unit, call (317) 338-5600.
