The Oncology Services Department is located in the Medical Specialty Center at St.Vincent Mercy Hospital. Our experienced Oncology staff provides quality, caring and compassionate care to our patients and families because we know that the diagnosis/treatment of cancer is a family diagnosis/treatment. We are here to help you through the different stages.

Staffed by registered nurses with specialized knowledge in the administration of chemotherapy, we treat you as we would like our family members to be treated. Above all things, we treat you with respect and dignity.

Our services include chemotherapy, infusion therapy, blood transfusions and other services. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Someone is on call for questions or concerns by a patient or family member. Laurence Bates, MD, from Community Cancer Care offers convenient hours in the Medical Specialty Center. Dr. Bates received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
