Our Philosophy

The thoracic oncology program at St. Vincent offers each patient a plan specifically designed for their unique situation based on the latest information from around the world.  As one of the first and only community hospital in the United States to receive a National Cancer Institute designation as a comprehensive cancer center, the physicians at St. Vincent Hospital have access to the latest research information and clinical trials for patients who wish to participate.

However, we also understand that we are treating people, not just their diseases.  Therefore, the St. Vincent thoracic oncology program strives to make it as convenient as possible for patients to receive multiple therapies by bringing together in one place at one time all the medical staff needed to deliver those therapies.  This is especially beneficial to patients who come for treatment from outside Indianapolis.
