Our multi-disciplinary team includes specialists in family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and sports medicine. Curt R. Ward, MD, MBA • Family Medicine
Medical Director, St.Vincent Faculty Practice
Dr. Ward received his medical degree from Indiana University, and completed his residency training in family medicine at St.Vincent. Dr. Ward has special interests in obstetrics, diabetes and cardiovascular medicine. He performs many office procedures, including obstetric ultrasound, colposcopy and exercise stress testing.

 

 

Joel M. Kary, MD • Family Medicine & Sports Medicine
Dr. Kary earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University. He completed his family medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, and his primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Kary is a team physician for Butler University, Lawrence North High School and the Indiana Invaders track club. His special interests include non-operative musculoskeletal medicine, and management of medical conditions related to sports.

 

 
 

Cathy A. Bryant, MD • Family Medicine
Dr. Bryant is a native Hoosier and received her medical degree from Indiana University. She trained in family medicine at St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center in St. Paul, MN. She enjoys the full spectrum of family care including children, adolescents and adults, as well as obstetrics. Dr. Bryant is conversational in Spanish, and is available to see Spanish-speaking patients.

 

  Stephen J. Knaus, MD • Internal Medicine
Dr. Knaus received his medical degree from Indiana University, and completed his internal medicine residency at St.Vincent. He has twice traveled to Nicaragua to serve
in medical delegations. Dr. Knaus’s special interests include adult preventive health, and diagnosing and managing the adult complex patient.
 
  Jeff Fields, MD • Family Medicine & Sports Medicine
After serving in the Air Force, Dr. Fields completed medical school, a family medicine residency and a sports medicine fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Fields currently serves as team physician for Marian College and the Indianapolis Indians.
 

Robert M. Lubitz, MD, MPH, FACP • Internal Medicine
Dr. Lubitz is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee, then completed a master’s degree in public health from Indiana University. His interests include public health, clinical epidemiology, international health and health policy. He is involved in a number of research projects, and his articles are regularly published in medical journals.

 

 
 

Heidi L. Harris, MD, FAAFP • Family Medicine
Dr. Harris received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University, and completed her residency in family medicine at St.Vincent. Her special areas of interest involve women’s gynecological health and children’s health.

 

  Nancy S. Noel, MD • Internal Medicine
Dr. Noel received her medical degree from Indiana University and completed her residency in internal medicine at St.Vincent Hospital. Dr. Noel’s special clinical interests
include preventive health, women’s health and dermatology.
 
 

David M. Harsha, MD, FAAFP • Family Medicine & Sports Medicine
Dr. Harsha received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. His interest in the total care of athletes led him to pursue a fellowship in sports medicine at Indiana University. His research interest has resulted in articles published in several medical publications. He currently serves as team physician for the Indiana Ice hockey team and the Indiana Fever women’s basketball team.

 

  Elizabeth Roth, MD • Family Medicine & Internal Medicine
Dr. Roth received her medical degree from Indiana University and completed her residency training at St.Vincent. Her unique blend of medical knowledge and healthcare interests are an integral part of her approach to providing quality health care. She is interested in caring for underserved people both abroad and in Indianapolis, and is fluent in Spanish.
 
  Shannon M. Joyce, MD, FAAFP • Family Medicine
Dr. Joyce received her medical degree from the University of Louisville, and returned to her native Indiana to complete her family medicine residency at St.Vincent. Dr. Joyce enjoys patient care from the delivery room to the nursing home. Her special interests include obstetrics and gynecology, preventive health, patient education and geriatrics.
  Eric A. Strand, MD • Obstetrics/Gynecology
Dr. Strand received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Vanderbilt University. He is the residency program director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St.Vincent and has special interests in pregnancy complications, abnormalities of the menstrual cycle and menopause.
