AFTER HOURS COVERAGE

Dr. Albright and Jennifer O’Brien, CNP share calls with other internal medicine doctors in order to provide 24-hour coverage for patients. If an injury or illness occurs after-hours and you feel you need to be seen emergently, please call the office and you will be connected with the answering service.

The answering service will instruct you on how to reach the physician on-call for urgent matters. The internist may then be able to determine if you need to go to the emergency room (ER) and expedite having you seen if necessary. Unless it is an absolute emergency requiring immediate attention, please attempt to reach the physician on-call before going to the ER. In some cases, insurance will not pay for ER or urgent care visits not authorized by the on-call physician.

If the on-call physician sends you to the ER or an Immediate Care Center, please call the office on the next business day so the necessary referral is issued.
