Appointments

We recommend scheduling well visits in advance to get your choice of available times to best suit your schedule.  The physicians are usually booked approximately 2 to 3 weeks ahead on physicals.

Please give us at least 24 hours notice when you will be unable to keep a scheduled appointment so we will be able to give you the time slot to another child.  Missed office appointments result in unused time blocks on the doctor’s schedule, thus decreasing the time available for other patients.  This is especially disruptive during the busy winter months and during the summer well-check season prior to the start of school.  We understand that emergencies arise that may require missing a scheduled visit; however, our office policy states that three missed appointment by an individual could result in dismissal from the practice.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.  We ask for your understanding and cooperation with our policies.

SCHEDULE OF WELL CHILD CARE VISITS
Well child exams are a very important part of a child’s health care.  The visits give us the opportunity to examine the child for overall health, growth and development.  We also discuss nutrition, sleep habits, age-appropriate topics such as potty-training, dental care and safety issues.  With the help of these regular exams, we can often detect and address health problems before they become more serious.  We encourage you to keep a list of questions you may have and bring the list to your visit.

SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS
Appointments for sick children are scheduled throughout the day. Our goal is to see every patient who needs care and we will work your child into your physician’s existing schedule for that day. Please call our office as early as possible when your child is sick and needs to be seen.

MEET AND GREET
Our physicians would love to sit down with you, the parents, to help you decide if our practice is the right fit for you and your family.  All four of our pediatricians schedule meet and greet appointments for expecting parents.  Dr. Melissa Ewer will also meet with parents who are considering changing pediatricians or who recently moved to the area.  All four of our doctors are accepting new patients.  At this visit we not only meet you and answer your questions, but also explain our practice and show you the office.  You’ll have a chance to also meet our nurses who are all trained specifically for pediatrics.  Please call the office if you would like to schedule one of these appointments.
