Scholarship Honors Linda Craig's Memory 

 

The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship, a program of the Pacers Foundation, Inc., provides scholarships for undergraduatecollege students presently enrolled in an Indiana college or university. The scholarship is awarded to deserving students with an academic major of medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy and/or other related disciplines.

The scholarship was established in the memory of Linda Lorraine Sharvelle Craig by Indiana Pacers team trainer, David Craig, and Dr. John Abrams. The scholarship is supported by those who remember Linda and who want to perpetuate her legacy through the scholarship recipients.

Andrettis to Race at Indianapolis Again

       

Michael Andretti Green Racing co-owner Michael Andretti will come out of retirement to drive the Jim Beam/Vonage Honda-powered Dallara in the 90th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 28, 2006.

 

Andretti, who retired from a 20-year professional driving career after the 87th Indianapolis 500 on May 25, 2003, will be part of a five-car Andretti Green Racing effort at Indianapolis that will include Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Bryan Herta, and Andretti's son, Marco.

 

SVSPC is the provider of pit crew training to Andretti-Green Racing and Dan Wheldon, 2005 Indy 500 Champion.

 

SVSPC Alum Continues to Shine in L. A.

 

Rookie forward James Singleton has emerged a key contributor off of Mike Dunleavy's bench in the early goings of 2005-06. While the news of his offseason signing was overshadowed a bit by other LAC summer acquisitions, Singleton had Clippers fans buzzing after a 14 point and 10 rebound performance against Seattle in the season opener. The 6-8 Murray State product is a flurry of activity on both ends of the floor and is never outworked when he takes the court.
