Intern Program
Athletic Training: Any level of student currently enrolled and accepted in an accredited athletic training curriculum program may apply for an internship. We offer internships as short as 1 month and long as 1 semester. Interns have the opportunity to work in several different aspects of sports medicine including outpatient physical therapy, orthopedic surgery and high school or outreach settings. Requirements include certain clinical competencies and a project presentation.
Strength & Conditioning: Students who are pursing a degree in either exercise science, kinesiology, biomechanics or related field who are interested in obtaining certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) may apply. Students will learn about the concept of Sport Specific Funcitonal Training. They will also not only aid in the training program of competitive and recreational athletes, but also in administration/marketing aspects of this business.
Job Shadowing:High School students who wish to come for a one-time ½ day job shadow may contact the Intern Education Coordinator for more information.

- Professional Sports (Indianapolis Ice, Indiana Fever, Indiana Invaders – track club)
- Orthopedic Surgery/Physician Office
- Emergency Room, Ambulance Runs
- Special Events/Out-Reach
- Sports Medicine Administration
