Robert A. Czarkowski
Dr. Czarkowski earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana in 1977 and his Master of Science degree in 1978. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1982. He did a flexible surgical internship and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Indiana University Medical School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed fellowship training in joint reconstruction and sports medicine at The Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Indianapolis in 1988. Dr. Czarkowski has attended more than 70 medical seminars and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and treatment approaches.
Dr. Czarkowski has served as a team physician for many schools and organizations including the U.S. Canoe/Kayak Team, the U.S. Gymnastic Federation and the Women's Big Ten Championship. He is currently the team physician for Carmel High School, Carmel Junior High School and Clay Junior High School. He has been on the teaching staff at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Foundation since 1988. He is Chairman of the Board of St. Vincent Sports Medicine.
