Jonathan B. Shook

Dr. Jonathan Shook graduated with distinction from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in 1998. In 2002, he received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana. During medical school, he was elected to the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, based on his high academic achievement.
In 2007, Dr. Shook completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. During his residency he received several awards, including: Innovations in Orthopaedics Award, Certificate of Excellence in Research and the Charles M. Schwartz Traveling Fellow Award. He completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals in 2008.
Dr. Shook is a member the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He is also a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Shook served as a team physician at the University of Chicago, Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, and Lincoln Way Central High School in New Lenox, Illinois. In 2008, he participated in the care of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. He is currently a member of the medical team involved in the care of the Indianapolis Indians.
Dr. Shook’s work has been published in professional journals, including: Orthopaedics, Journal of the American Medical Association, and Loyola University Chicago, Orthopaedic Journal.
