Thomas F. Trainer

A native of Evansville, Indiana, Dr. Trainer received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 1962 and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1966. He did an internship in general surgery at Providence Hospital in Portland, Oregon and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, West Virginia. Dr. Trainer has served as Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital, as a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation Board, and on the Indiana University Alumni Council. He is a past president of the Indiana Orthopaedic Society and a fellow in the American Board of Orthopaedics Foot and Ankle Society. He is a member of many medical organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.
