Leadership at the Center

Jeffery L. Pierson, M.D.
Dr. Pierson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and serves as the medical director for the St.Vincent Center for Joint Replacement. He received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed his internship in general surgery at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Pierson perfomed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He then completed an orthopaedic fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Pierson is a frequent presenter, author and speaker for the medical community on issues related to hip and knee replacements. He has also been a leader on issues of blood conservation, greatly reducing the need for blood transfusions.

Lisa M. Brandt, RDH, MS
Lisa Brandt is the director of the St.Vincent Center for Joint Replacement. She has a master's degree in wellness management from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and a bachelor of science degree in health occupation education from Indiana University in Indianapolis. She also has an associate's degree in dental hygiene from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Ind.

Prior to her role at St.Vincent, Lisa was a healthcare consultant in Illinois. She also worked as an executive director of Northwestern University Oral Health Center in Chicago and was assistant professor at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.

Lisa has expertise in practice management, new business development and working with physician teams. She oversees the Center's clinical and operational issues to ensure patients are receiving extraordinary care.
