Mission Trip Opportunities
St.Vincent Physician Outreach Network (PON) partners with numerous local medical mission teams in volunteering to support areas around the world. Please continue to check back periodically, as trips are added frequently.
Double Harvest Clinic, Haiti, opportunities:
The Physician Outreach Network is developing an ongoing partnership with the Double Harvest Clinic in Haiti and has coordinated multiple teams to assist with surgical and medical care. We are in need of surgeons, family physicians or specialists, nurses, rehabilitation therapists and volunteers with or without a clinical background. This mission trip will also be able to accommodate children over the age of 13 if you have an interest in making this a family mission.
Several Timmy Foundation university chapters are planning upcoming trips. Please see the schedule below.

Timmy Global Health:
Timmy Global Health, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based out of Indianapolis, is sponsoring a mission trip to Ecuador March 10-17, 2012, to provide medical relief in underserved areas. Physicians and pharmacists are needed.
Trip details:
Five days out of the week the group will be performing clinics in these communities, seeing about 80 patients per day at each site (approximately 40 patients/provider/day). One day during the trip, the volunteer group has a tour of a partner organization’s facilities and formal discussions with community leaders about life in Ecuador. Medical professionals will be working with the students during the week, which will be staffing the various areas of the clinic to facilitate the work of the medical professionals.
During the week we stay at a secure location in Quito that has beds for each person with bedding, hot showers and bottled water to drink. All meals and transportation are provided in the trip cost. In addition to clinical work, there are many opportunities to engage with the culture.
If you are interested in the trip, please contact hburges@purdue.edu.
