Pneumonia – To VATS or Not to VATS that is the Question
Discussion will include a critical approach to diagnosis and treatment of both simple and complicated CAP, antibiotic choice, duration of therapy including IV vs. PO, discharge endpoints, regional resistance patterns for common pathogens, chest tube and VATS.

Fever without Source – What's Hot and What's Not
This will be a quality-focused session demonstrating a process that involves taking evidence, building a consensus across different disciplines and measuring it. Though the focus will be on quality clinical issues, shortening LOS, selective admissions, use of acyclovir, decreasing unintended consequences and how to manage the partially treated patient will also be addressed.
