Jeffery S. Bennett, M.D. FAAP
Jeffrey S. Bennett, MD, FAAP, is the Director of the Section of Inpatient Pediatrics at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, University of Kentucky, where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Bennett received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Texas A&M University in 1990, and graduated from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in 1994. He entered the Air Force upon graduation, completing his residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center/Wright-Patterson Medical Center, Dayton, OH, in 1997. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2000. Professional experience includes leadership roles as Chief, Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Clinic Team Chief, Wright Patterson Medical Center from 2000-04. Since 2004, Dr. Bennett has established the hospitalist program at Kentucky Children’s Hospital and was named the Associate Medical Director for Quality and Safety in 2007. He is happily married to Tara and has two great kids, Hayden (8) and Lauren (5). Hobbies include woodworking and home remodeling. |
