Ruben J. Nazario, M.D.
Dr. Nazario went to medical school at the University of Louisville, and finished his residency in General Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. He went on to work as a community hospital pediatric hospitalist and pediatric emergency physician in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. In 2003, Dr. Nazario joined the staff of Kentucky Children’s Hospital as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Section of Inpatient Pediatrics. His interests include procedural sedation, medical education, medical humanities, and family-centered care. He’s been awarded the Pediatrics Clerkship Teaching Award two years in a row. He is the general editor of Hospital Pediatrics, the journal of the section of hospital medicine of the AAP, and also a contributing blogger to Today’s Hospitalist magazine. He is also an award-wining author, with three published works of fiction, written in his native Spanish. |
