Description:
This presentation will be an update with regards to the status of trauma including: the timeline and patient progression throughout the hospital, OR/ED fact sheet, proposed education schedule and possibly the mass transfusion protocol.

Objectives:
  • Have a better understanding about the chain of events involved with the actual trauma event and their progression throughout the ED, to the OR, to the floor
  • Have a better understanding of role expectations and responsibility of the ED staff
  • Made aware of proposed education in the month of October and have the opportunity to share their educational needs
