Kimberly McElroy Jones, PhD
Kimberly McElroy Jones is Executive Director of the MICI-AHEC, System Director in Clinical
Excellence. Kimberly has strong credentials, strong relationships in
central Indiana and a deep personal and professional understanding of
the AHEC mission. Kimberly earned her bachelor’s degree in
Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University in 2001
and a master’s degree in Adult Education from Indiana
University-Indianapolis in 2004. She earned her Doctoral Degree in
Organization and Management from Capella University in 2009. Prior to
joining the MICI-AHEC, she was employed by Clarian Health as a clinical
education specialist for the Pharmacy Technician Program.
Kathy Evoy is the Senior Administrative Assistant for MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent
Health. Kathy joined MICI-AHEC in April 2012; however, she brings a
wealth of institutional knowledge as she has worked in the St.Vincent
system since 2008 as a Senior Administrative Assistant for the Executive
Director of the St.Vincent Foundation. Kathy is a graduate of Indiana
Business College, now Harrison College, and has over 30 years of work
experience as an Executive Secretary in the property-casualty insurance
Kathy is looking forward to providing support to the associates of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Central Indiana AHEC.
Miriam Pappas is an Outreach Coordinator for MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent Health. Miriam
has served in the healthcare industry for more than fifteen years.
Miriam earned her Bachelor of Science degree in recreational therapy
from Temple University. Her career has focused on healthcare management
and maintaining the highest level quality of care for those served.
Prior to joining St.Vincent Health, Miriam worked as a contract employee
to the Indiana State Department of Health and Human Services - Family
and Social Services Division where she worked to serve those on the
Medicaid Waiver Program.
Miriam managed the Indiana staff
employees and coordinated quality control services to ensure valid and
reliable assessments be completed on consumers receiving services. Among
other experiences, Miriam led as a dual department director in a
long-term care setting. Miriam oversaw all departmental needs for both
departments served relating to hiring, managing, staffing, and
maintaining policy and procedures. Miriam has a passion to see that all
people receive quality health services. She has seen firsthand through
personal family experience what a difference a high level of quality of
care can make in an individual life.
Miriam believes strongly in
the mission guided by the core values held at St.Vincent Health.
Joining St.Vincent Health is a natural path for Miriam to follow to
continue her efforts in meeting healthcare needs while paying special
attention to the poor and vulnerable.
Erica Young MPH.
Erica Young is the Site Coordinator for MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent Health. Erica
is an Indianapolis native and a graduate of Indiana University
Bloomington, School of HPER. After earning her Bachelors degree she
shortly returned to IUPUI to receive her Masters of Public Health. Erica
is passionate about health care especially underserved and
underprivileged populations. While completing her Master’s degree she
worked at an underserved elementary school within the greater
Indianapolis area for 2 years with children who needed and desired to
understand their school work more, while focusing on implementing
programs to better serve this population.
Erica also interned at
Riley Hospital for Children in their Automotive Safety Department. She
was very interested in car seat safety and how to increase awareness on
preventing fatal vehicular crashes among children. She is very excited
about her new opportunity to work with the MICI-AHEC program
concentrating on the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) in order
to increase resources needed for more minorities to enter into the
health care field. As a Site Coordinator Erica is responsible for
collaborating with other HCOP coordinators in implementing and
developing educational tools to effectively enhance grant recruitment
for minority students to pursue a career in health care.
David McGuire, Jr.
David McGuire is an Outreach Coordinator for MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent Health. He
received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central State University in
English/Pre Law in 2010. He is currently earning his Master’s of
Business Administration with a concentration in Applied Management from
Indiana Wesleyan University. He began his professional career working in
the Special Education Department at Pike High School. He is involved in
a mentoring program at Pike High School, Young Men of Purpose, where he
serves as a Mentor to the young men in the program. In his new role
with MICI-AHEC, David will serve as an Outreach Coordinator. His
responsibilities include coordinating and implementing Kids into Health
Careers Program and designing program activities for the Health Careers
Opportunity Program. He is extremely excited about his new role working
with students and helping them with their future career endeavors in the
health profession. A goal of his is helping disadvantaged students
maximize their educational potential.
Traci Adams-Wilson is an Outreach Coordinator with MICI-AHEC. She received her
undergraduate degree from Dillard University and a master’s degree from
the University of New Orleans. She started her professional career as an
academic advisor at IUPUI and was a pioneer advisor in the University
College Learning Communities Program. Prior to joining MICI-AHEC she
served as the diversity officer at Indiana University School of
Dentistry where she recruited and retained underrepresented minority
students. It was during that time that she partnered with MICI-AHEC to
develop Dental Summer Institute which is a program designed to increase
awareness of dental professions to minority students. As Outreach
Coordinator, Traci will work with Pike High School students and Ivy Tech
Community College. Program participants will engage in a variety of
activities designed to increase their awareness of healthcare careers
while taking college courses at Ivy Tech Community College. Participants
will be eligible for certification in Patient Access after completing
Angela Dumas, B.S.
Angela Dumas is
a Healthcare Career Counselor for St. Vincent Health. She is a graduate
of IUPUI, with a Bachelor’s in General Studies from Indiana University
and a Human Resource Management Certificate from Purdue University. She
previously worked as a STEM Advisor for IUPUI, where she was responsible
for recruiting and promoting the STEMworks Indiana grant. Angela was
also in charge of all communication between Indianapolis Career Centers,
Indianapolis high schools, and various high schools in surrounding
counties of Marion County. She has a passion for working on career
pathways for youth and adults, job placement, and long term case
The majority of Angela’s professional career was
spent at Roche Diagnostics, where she worked in a variety of positions
including Customer Service, Credit Specialist, Orientation Trainer for
all Roche new hires, and Career Pathways Developer and Trainer. It was
her time at Roche that cultivated her passion for community outreach,
and eventually led her to this exciting new opportunity with St. Vincent
Leeza Fazioli, MSW, LSW
Leeza Fazioli is a Healthcare Career Counselor for MICI-AHEC of St. Vincent Health
and is stationed at the WorkOne North Office. Leeza comes to the St.
Vincent team from a social work background where she has mostly worked
to serve homeless veterans with psychiatric illness and English as a
second language (ESL) learners. Most recently Leeza worked as a
Behavioral Therapist for at-risk youth at an Indianapolis charter
Leeza is a graduate of the Master of Social Work (MSW)
program from Indiana University and also holds a B.A. in
Telecommunications (2008). Before entering graduate school Leeza worked
as a Brand Ambassador and Product Specialist representing brands for
experiential marketing groups with national mobile media tours.
Kyle Inez Cole
Kyle [pronounced Kee-Lee] Inez Cole is a Healthcare Careers Advisor for MICI-AHEC of St. Vincent Health.
She is stationed at WorkOne Express in College Park. Before joining
MICI-AHEC, Kyle was Operations Supervisor at Wishard Hospital’s
Department of Pharmacy Services, responsible for training and leading
and managing pharmacy technicians. She also was an assistant at a
not-for-profit social service agency. Kyle has an adult vocational
education background, and is an advisor to the Board of Directors of
Vocational College of America. She has both her Bachelor of Science and
Master of Science degrees in Management from Indiana Wesleyan
University, and is a nationally-certified Pharmaceutical Technician.
Nancy Dauby is a Healthcare Career Advisor with MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent Health. Her
position is affiliated with the WorkOne Express office at College Park.
Most recently, Nancy was Assistant Director of Admission/Transfer
Coordinator for the University of Southern Indiana with her office
onsite at Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville where she advised Ivy
Tech students throughout the state who planned to transfer to USI.
Nancy is an experienced corporate trainer, and she is also a licensed
K-12 technology teacher. In addition, she teaches adult computer
literacy classes. Nancy has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education
with a Computer Technology minor and a Master of Public Administration
degree from the University of Southern Indiana. She has been a speaker
at local, state, and regional events and conferences on various higher
education and career development topics.
Stephanie Wofford is the Outreach Coordinator with MICI-AHEC at St. Vincent Health.
Stephanie has worked for St. Vincent Health since March 2010, most
recently as a Healthcare Career Advisor. Stephanie has worked in the
healthcare field for the last 10 years with a focus on volunteerism,
fundraising, and guest/patient relations. She has a passion for working
with the underserved populations, serving as a mentor to at risk youth,
and an advisor to IUPUI students through Wishard Health Services.
Stephanie served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Society of
Directors of Volunteer Services and has strong ties to the
non-profit/volunteer community. Stephanie obtained a B.A. in
Communications from Indiana University in 2002 and a Master’s of Science
in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2006.
Susan Jaeger is a Healthcare Career Advisor with MICI-AHEC at St.Vincent Health. Her
position is affiliated with the WorkOne Express office at College Park.
Most recently, Susan was a Clinical Research Recruiter for a Fortune
500 Global Search and Staffing company. She also comes to us with over a
decade of grant funded research experience, primarily in the mental
health arena which focused on survey research and longitudinal data
collection. Susan obtained a B.A. in Sociology from Indiana University
(IU) and a Master of Public Health, Behavioral Health Science
concentration from the IU School of Medicine.
