Diagnostic Radiology

Diagnostic radiology is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury. Registered/licensed radiologic technologists and echo/vascular technologists perform approximately 21,000 procedures each year. A variety of imaging services includes:

  • General radiography (x-rays of the bones, chest and internal organs)
  • Fluoroscopy (upper GI, barium enema, esophagram)
  • Portable radiology
  • Surgical cases

Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology includes specialized x-ray examinations performed by the radiologist with the assistance of registered technologists.These exams are performed using state-of-the-art digital imaging techniques and equipment with contrast enhancements.A variety of exam services includes:

  • PICC lines (permanent catheter placed for use of medication administration)
  • Myelography (special spine exam)
  • Arthrography ( special shoulder/hip/knee exam)
