St.Vincent Salem Hospital Orthopedic Surgeon
Orthopedic Surgeon, Waqar Aziz, MD, has many years of experience in
Orthopedics and has trained with some of the nation’s top hand surgeons
to further expand his practice. He received his medical degree from the
University of Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Medical College in Pakistan and went
on to complete his orthopedic residency at the University of Louisville,
in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Aziz has also completed three fellowships, one in Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery from the Vienna Medical Academy in Vienna,
Austria, and was a Microsurgery Assistant and Research Fellow, and Hand
and Microsurgery Senior Fellow with the world-renowned Christine
Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, KY.
He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the
Indiana State Medical Association and a Fellow in the International
College of Surgeons.
Physical Therapist and St.Vincent Salem Hospital Rehab manager, Kevin
Nance, has over 16 years of experience. He is a graduate of the Indiana
University School of Physical Therapy at Indianapolis. He has also
received additional training and specialized in Orthopedic Rehab
throughout his career. He has been in management for 15 years, with 13
years in management at St.Vincent Salem Hospital. Previously, he also
supervised the orthopedic surgery practice at Washington County Memorial
Hospital for 5 years. Kevin says, “I am fortunate to work with a team
of very experienced and caring therapists and assistants in our
department.” Kevin lives in Corydon with his wife and two children, ages
9 and 11.
