Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) offers an inpatient rehab facility within the safety and convenience of our hospital setting. Medical care is continued by our medical director, Dr. Keith Ennis, who sees patients 5 days/week, with access to a physician within the facility 24/7. ARU’s team of nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language therapists care for, treat, and strengthen patients from a wide variety of conditions including: neurologic illnesses, strokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal surgeries, trauma, head injuries, amputations, orthopedic issues, and extended hospital stays from any serious illness.
Cancer Center coordinates the diagnostic testing, as well as, provides cancer treatments under the direction of the resident medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. Services include chemotherapy and radiation therapies for breast, lung, prostate cancer and other cancers in the body. Special cancer support services help our patients and families manage side effects and the changes that come with being a cancer survivor.
Our Cardiology Department offers a variety of diagnostic cardiology procedures to determine underlying cause of heart disease. Onsite tests include nuclear stress test, stress echo, holter monitors-event recorders and Echo 2D.

Maternity Services is a personalized plan that coordinates care with your OB/GYN and prepares for the birth of your child. Services can include prenatal care and classes, nutritional counseling, smoking cessation Break the Habit, and a plan for your labor and delivery experience.
Prenatal care is provided by the St. Vincent Medical Group: Dr. Hoover, Dr Chimhanda, and Dr. Redmon.
We offer a New Mom’s Support Group. It is facilitated by a lactation consultant and is available to assist in breastfeeding issues, but is also open to all moms regardless of feeding type. Pastoral Care at Kokomo has several chaplains available to the patient and family. There are many levels of spiritual care offered, as well as, a chapel and prayer garden, and support with advanced directives and ethical issues.
St. Vincent Kokomo Physical and Sports Therapy has experienced therapists that can evaluate and treat a wide variety of conditions including general rehabilitation, lymphedema treatment, neurological rehabilitation and orthopedic issues including rehabilitation after joint replacement. Occupational therapy, pediatric rehabilitation, speech-language pathology, and women’s health rehabilitation are also available (three locations in Kokomo and Peru). Physical and Sports Therapy can also provide a musculoskeletal analysis for athletes. For example, golfers will be evaluated and weaknesses in strength, stability, flexibility identified as it pertains to the golf swing. Recommendations are then made to help correct the imbalances. Sleep Disorder Center is for adults and children with sleeping or awake disorders. Are you spending nights restless and awake? Feeling drowsy, stressed or a little more irritable than usual? Though life may bring periods of less-than-perfect rest to all of us, a chronic sleep problem is not normal. All of our sleep studies are evaluated by a board certified sleep specialist. This center offers many types of educational resources and treatments. It is the only locally certified sleep center for children ages 3 and older, as well as, adults.
Surgery Department has created a family environment that offers individualized specialty care to our patients and their families. We educate our patients and families on all aspects of their surgical experience and provide pre-operative screening, in-depth anesthesia involvement and pain management within your care. Our Joint Success Program provides a comprehensive team approach to joint replacement that starts from day of scheduling through your recovery phase. St. Vincent Kokomo Trinity House provides behavioral health assessments and treatment for psychiatric, emotional, and chemical abuse or dependence problems. This center is available from children through older adults. Families will also find helpful resources and services as your loved one takes the first steps to recovery. We offer confidential treatment options available in a variety of settings to meet individual needs. Higgin’s Center for Women’s Wellness believes each woman is unique and special and deserves to feel good. Designed with women in mind, there's a feeling that is truly feminine, reflected in the beautiful, calm decor and the assurance and care of our staff. At this women’s health center we provide same-day results for diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasound and also coordinate breast biopsies and stereotactic biopsy if indicated. DEXA bone density tests are available and screen for osteoporosis. The center also has many types of health resources.
