The second Lucas Oil Love It! Soirée will be held on August 11 at the beautiful Lucas Estate, Carmel, with the VIP reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funds from the event will benefit the St. Vincent Cardiovascular Research Institute, which strives to improve the lives of those with cardiovascular disease.
The St. Vincent Heart Center has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics for its high quality care for patients. By continuing to invest in cardiovascular research St. Vincent physicians will be able to improve the lives of even more patients who suffer from heart disease.
“We are grateful for organizations like Lucas Oil, along with Forrest and Charlotte Lucas and their family, who have stepped forward to host this event, in addition to many others who are supporting this initiative,” said Sue Anne Gilroy, Executive Director/Vice President of Development, St. Vincent Foundation. “Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women throughout the nation and investing in research is the best solution in helping to improve outcomes for our patients.”
Event co-chairs, Don and Kathy Dunbar and Dan and Barbara Hasbrook, along with honorary co-chairs, Tom and Allison Melangton and Jim and Jackie Morris, are encouraging the community to join them for an evening of unforgettable experiences. All of these families have been affected by heart disease and are passionate in helping St. Vincent expand its research capabilities.
The evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, and chef experiences featuring Sysco, the NFL Player Chefs and Indy’s finest executive chefs. There will also be live entertainment by “Rock and Soul.” Funds raised will support the St. Vincent Cardiovascular Research Institute and will be used for additional staff, capital equipment, marketing, and proper facilities to compete at a world class level.
