Physical Therapy is an important part of the healing process and is an area that has been extensively expanded in order to respond to increasing patient needs with new therapeutic interventions. These therapists address basic properties of soft tissue; biomechanics of stress and strain; acute and chronic inflammations; and the use of effective and appropriate modality/exercises to enhance the healing process.
Our Cardiology Clinic offers a variety of diagnostic cardiology procedures to determine underlying heart diseases and/or abnormalities and problems with the heart including stress tests, stress echo, Holter monitors-event recorders, and Echo 2D. If a patient needs more advanced cardiovascular care, experts are available at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
Orthopedics - From muscle sprains and pains and fracture care to treatment for back, foot, ankle, hip and knee pain, or sports-related injuries, our clinical staff is trained to provide prompt and compassionate care.
Rural and Urban Access to Healthcare (RUAH) is a community service program for uninsured or underinsured individuals and families. The Williamsport Hospital Health Access Worker connects these individuals with primary health care and preventative health services in the community.
Swing Bed Program - Our swing bed program helps patients transition (swing) from one level of care to another within the hospital. After being hospitalized due to a surgical procedure or treatment for a complex medical condition, some patients may benefit from continued skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapies, which are available through the swing bed program.
