The Birthing Center at St. Vincent Anderson brings together a team of experienced OB/GYNs and Midwives who share the goal of providing a safe, personal, family-centered birthing experience that includes support before, during and after pregnancy. Mothers and their families appreciate the comfort and convenience of our state-of-the-art labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) rooms. Each room includes a separate dining area where the mother and her partner can have a special Celebration of Life meal. Meals may be requested and delivered to the room anytime during the day. We offer free classes prior to delivery and lots of education during the hospital stay to help families feel confident and prepared to care for baby.
A number of free classes are available to expectant parents and their families, including prenatal care, cesarean section births, Lamaze childbirth, and classes for grandparents and siblings. Our women’s health coordinator provides tours, helps the expectant mother make decisions about her personal birthing choices, and assists in connecting the patient with public assistance programs and other community resources.
